Join us for a free evening celebration
with a complementary beverage from Upstreet Craft Brewing!
We are celebrating 50 years of the GED program in PEI which began in 1971 and has since awarded more than 11,000 GED certificates.
During our event you will get to enjoy the quick-witted comedy of our MC Patrick Ledwell, a poem from the thoughtful Julie Pellissier-Lush, and adult learner success stories that will touch your heart.
If you are interested in attending, please see the details below and RSVP to: info@peiliteracy.ca. We have limited seating, so those who email us first will get seats first.
This event replaces our annual PGI Golf Tournament for Literacy where the Peter Gzowski Foundation for Literacy has been a key partner for over 30 years.
We are very grateful to have the continued support of our local partners. This is the 10th year Master Packaging has supported our annual fundraiser as Title Sponsor.
We will award bursaries and a scholarship at this event. Our Scholarship Sponsor is Master Packaging and our Bursary Sponsors are Skills PEI (3 Bursaries) and Canadian Tire (3 bursaries). The event will be held at the beautiful Florence Simmons Performance Hall in Charlottetown thanks to our Venue Sponsor, Holland College.
Contact us if you would like to become a Bursary Sponsor. The cost is $750 for one bursary. All the money goes directly to an adult who is working toward their GED. The bursary removes some of the financial barrier adults face when going back to school.
Please note, to attend you will need a VaxPass, a mask, and be symptom free. RSVP by Nov 15 to info@peiliteracy.ca
