Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

The Imagination Library is a free book gifting program devoted to inspiring a love of reading in young children. There are over 2 million books gifted to children around the world each year. We administer the Imagination Library program in PEI. Each month, thousands of children in PEI receive a high quality, age-appropriate book in the mail until their fifth birthday. This program is offered free of charge.

Registrations are now open for the Imagination Library! Please note that we operate on a first come, first served basis. We will accept as many registrations as we can but, we do have a limited number of spaces.

The Imagination Library program has been a great success in PEI. Program evaluations show the positive impact this program is having on early literacy across the province. More than 80% of parents have reported that they are more aware of the importance of early literacy and are reading more as a family.
