My name is Anne MacDonald and I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new project coordinator for ESAF with the PEI Literacy Alliance. I am very excited to be joining the team at PEILA because of its strong roots in the community providing opportunities for children and adults to learn vital literacy skills through tutoring and ESAF programming.

I am originally from Moncton N.B. and my background is in social work, with over ten years’ experience working with people from all walks of life. The heart of social work is connecting people with community resources and empowering people to be their best selves. I practice with a strength-based approach which believes everyone has the capability to change for the better, no matter what their circumstances are.

I look forward to connecting with all of you, so we can work together on this excellent project and ensure a smooth transition. I am particularly happy to have Lily’s mentorship for the next couple of months to help me get things started!

Thank you and have a wonderful day.

Sincerely,

Anne MacDonald, RSW
